Muscle building supplements for men are highly sought after in the muscle building world. Why? because we are determined and want results as fast as possible.
Granted, some supplements are beneficial while others are A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.
In this article I’ll discuss why supplements won’t replace good habits, how they can aid your gains and safe measures to take before purchasing any.
Let’s dive in shall we?
Muscle building Supplements for Men Won’t Replace the Basics
In order to gain muscle we must do two things:
1. Break down the muscle fibers in our body through training.
2. Eat the right nutrients so our muscles can rebuild stronger.
This in essence is the foundation of muscle building.
There is no way to build muscle bypassing these two steps. No supplement in the world can replace working out and eating properly.
When I first started working out I was 135 pounds soaking wet. I was so anxious to gain muscle I would do anything. I remember going online and buying creatine hoping it would transform me into The Rock in 2o days. I was so naive and ignorant looking for a miracle. I blame myself and the good marketing strategy the supplement company used.
Nevertheless, had I been working out and eating properly (which I wasn’t) the creatine might have aided me.
Don’t be fooled like I was and remember the fundamentals. Without those no supplement will help you, I don’t care if its mermaid Hercules powder juice in pill form.
When used correctly supplements CAN boost results
Now that we understand WE MUST TRAIN AND EAT RIGHT. It’s a fact supplements can aid in building muscle. Whey protein, creatine powder, bcaas (branch chain amino acids), and vitamins are all terrific supplements.
When used properly they can increase your energy, stamina, strength and recovery. Key components to gaining muscle. Now this doesn’t mean go out and purchase every supplement available. I recommend establishing a solid weight training and eating plan first for a few months before incorporating any supplements.
Before trying out any supplement talk with your doctor
Safety is of utmost importance. Don’t risk your health. Have a chat with your doctor and let them know your planning on trying out a new supplement. Let them look over the ingredients and heed their advice.
Incorporating supplements into one’s diet to improve muscle building is OK. As long as you remember supplements are not a replacement for proper training & diet. Consult your physician before using any supplement.
Are you taking any supplements – which do you recommend and why? I hope this post shed some light on muscle building supplements for men.
