What is the Best Weight Gainer for Skinny Guys? Lot’s of skinny guy’s ask this question but I think its better to ask if we really need weight gainers at all.
I can understand why many skinny men want to use weight gainers as we typically have a harder time gaining weight.
But there’s a much better way to go about putting on lean mass.
In this post I’ll talk about why I’m not a fan of weight gainers and what to do instead.
Let’s dive in.
Too many junk calories in weight gainers
The number one reason why I don’t recommend weight gainers is they really don’t have much in them.
They’re usually just packed with some protein and simple sugars.
You’re way better off getting a whey protein supplement and mixing a banana with it.
A banana will give you much better nutrition than the simple carbs in the weight gainer.
Besides who knows what types of fillers they put in weight gainers.
Establish a sound diet and workout plan, first
Before jumping into supplements I recommend eating whole foods to gain weight.
Calorie dense foods like lean turkey, chicken, quinoa, brown rice and vegetables will do much more for your body than a weight gainer supplement.
Once you get used to eating healthy and working out consistently you’ll start to put on lean muscle.
That’s much better than putting on fake pounds.
I know some people have a hard time fitting in all the calories needed to gain muscle.
Sometimes it’s hard to eat all that food.
Try drinking more liquid calories like veggie and protein shakes.
Weight gainers out there are really hyped up.
Much of the ingredients are crap and don’t offer much value to the body as you’d like to think.
Hard gainers are better off eating whole foods like avocados, almonds, bananas, red meat, whole-fat dairy, coconut and olive oil, white and sweet potatoes and grains like brown rice.
These foods will provide lots of calories you should have no problem hitting your daily numbers.
I hope this post explained What is the Best Weight Gainer for Skinny Guys and why you don’t need it.
